This was when many Native tribes including the Sminoles and the Cherokees were forced to relocated to Oklahoma in terrible conditions. More then 1/2 of the Native American individuals. The name came from the Native Americans during their journey.

An act that was invented in to remove Native Americans from America. It was mostly use to kick any tribe from any America territory or future American territory. It also states that it is lawful for Andrew Jackson and his cabin to kick any tribe out of America. It was first used to waive the Native tribe called Cherokee from Georgia. The word emmigrant makes them seem foreign and America belives they have the right remove any foreigners.

A map that showed where each tribe moved. It is amazing where each tribe had to go through on thier journey. This is although only for the early stages of the act. There were still alot more traveling after the Mexican war. This map shows that if they resist the Americans by fighting they die and when they resist by moving they had to travel long distances and resulted in mostly death. Tjats how selfish America was. They force the Native Americans into a lose-lose situation.
