Ted Cruz slams Harry Reid, Obama for 'absolutist' position on government ...
Jaiden VerSteeg's insight:

Elected officials have a job to do, and that is to keep us safe and to make decisions that are difficult. Its hard to make these decisions when stubborness comes into play. There must be compromise. Jaiden VerSteeg's insight:

The KKK has been known to teach lessons of hate, but the law allows them to do it. The freedom of speach can be abused, but we can choose to pay attention to groups like the KKK or to ignore them. They might not go away, but they can lose their power.

Jaiden VerSteeg's insight:

We always hear that you would never want to do anything wrong in a different country, like mexico, because you would have to get sent to their prison, and that is not somewhere you would want to go. When americans are outside the country you have the rights of the people of the country you are visiting. This is another example of how lucky we are to live in this country and even when we are frustrated with our leaders, our constitution keeps us safe.
