This link has information on what vitamins and minerals are important, but does not suggest consequences of a lack on nutrients other than "disease"

There are 5,999 likes on this page in facebook, and 35 people talking about the articles and videos posted here. Of the pages that discussed children's nutrition, specifically, there was not any other facebook page that had more than 100 likes. Parents Magazine had 636,871 likes and 22,773 talking about it, so it isn't as though facebook is not a tool for parent networking and ideas.

One woman's experience could possibly be the experience of many parents with "troubled" children. Instead of attempting a diet change for many children, they are immediately given medication. This may be a better choice.
