Children today face increasing challenges that can act as triggers for rising psychiatric symptoms. These range from reduced sleep, pressured school, disconnected family life, escalating obesity, depressed mothers, intrusive media and poor nutrition. In addition, there is a rapidly escalating use of psychiatric medication.
