With #stopkony trending on twitter, there is growing interest in the concept of child soldiers.  This is a great video to discuss the issue beyond Central Africa and other international efforts to end the use of child soldiers.

This news article from the BBC talks about the banning of child soldiers under United Nations law. There are a estimate of 300,000 child soldiers over thirty-five countries, and over 95 countries have now signed the law and is now currently in effect. If this law had been passed at the time of the conflict in the book it may have prevented it from even happening in the first place.

I would want to read this because it is just like my book in the way thatthey are not only both child soldiers but both saved by British aid aswell. But this story is true, not fiction which i do prefer. It should give a more in depth insight on the life of a child soldier and how he over came the ordeal.
