Meet the new faces and voices of the digital revolution in India!

The first group of managers and advisors  have been trained by Steve Shellabear of dancing lion for the new entrant in the Telco market in India. They are participating in a 24 day training programme, co delivered by the client, featuring 12 training programmes with over 90 modules. These include: Induction, Operational Culture, House Rules and HR Policies, Product, Process, Systems, Customer Service and Communication Skills,  Value through Advice Recommending Products and Services, Manager and  Train the Trainer for BPO service partners. With Commercial launch only a few short months away there is still much to do!

The telco consultancy team in Mumbai India

Steve Shellabear, from dancing lion (second from left) with some friends from the Merchants consultancy team in India. Steve is working with a major telco overseeing the Learning & Development strand to rollout 4G across India. This ambitious project, due to launch in late 2014 will enable communications for ordinary people throughout the country. It will link central and remote areas through mobiles, fixed line and WIFI improving quality of life and creating thousands of employment opportunities. Steve said: 3 months into the project now and the pace is picking up. It is great to have a strong team to work with and we are having fun out here too. As we rollout the training programme we will be inviting friends and colleagues to join us. As is frequently the way for a new launch, there is a lot to be done in short time frames. The challenge is managing the interdependencies for people, processes and technology  so that everything comes together in the right places at the right time.

Steve Shellabear from dancing lion has been invited to head up the Learning and Development strand on a multi strand consultancy team with Dimension Data in India. The team is working with a market leader in the Telcoms market throughout 2014 and beyond. "This is a major contact centre opportunity which will involve the training and development of thousands of people. India is an exciting place to work and this project will enable communication for millions. I am delighted to be involved." said Steve. Steve is based in Mumbai but expects to be travelling extensively throughout India. He will be returning to the UK at regular intervals. He adds: "dancing lion has an excellent team of trainers, coaches and consultants who are working with a range of clients across industry sectors in the UK and internationally. As the global economy picks up we expect 2014 to be a busy and rewarding year for our clients."

Effective Competency Assessment

In a flying visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 20 & 21 February 2014, Steve Shellabear from dancing lion delivered a two day course on Competency Assessment to a group of managers and HR professionals. In this intensive two day programme, delegates covered many topics including: how to construct a competency framework evaluate their own organizations competency framework for benefits and disadvantages identify competency levels and profile new recruits prior to interview use competency framework to assess performance, apply the competency framework to training needs analysis avoid problems with disciplinary hearings by using competencies and prepare for effective succession planning.
