(From the article): Presentations have an important place in the corporate world. Whether presenting product releases or quarterly year reports, a nicely designed presentation captivates the audience. It increases the audience’s interaction and interest.  A well weaved narration of information in form of a presentation, can instill life to a plain and boring topic as well.

Apart from the corporate world, presentations are used in education as well. Teachers use presentations to deliver information that is successfully incorporated with videos and pictures, thus grabbing the attention of the students and enriching the learning process along the way.

While its hard to replace professional presentation designers, here is a list of some powerful tools that would help you to create interactive presentations in case of the absence of professional help.

...Speaking of the spell, do you remember the scene when Harry wished he knew a good Vanishing Spell to escape his fan Colin’s photograph-clicking spree? Or the time when Bill Weasley used this incantation to make a stack of scrolls disappear while cleaning up after a meeting of the Order of the Phoenix during Harry's first night at number twelve, Grimmauld Place?

Great Prezi on making great Prezis

Dave Wood's curator insight, April 18, 2014 3:41 PM

Some really useful tips about structuring information and the impactful use of visuals.  I haven't been a huge fan of Prezi because they can be just too "busy" and disorientating when they incorporate too much spin as they move from image to image. These tips give good advice about how to keep it simple for best effect.

I've used Prezi as a way of presenting the notes from a visual group coaching session back to the participants.

Free Technology for Teachers: Five Ways Students Can Share Videos Without YouTube

Free Technology for Teachers: Five Ways Students Can Share Videos Without YouTube | Technology Tools for Students | Scoop.it
It is not a secret that I enjoy helping teachers learn how to use video creation tools with their students. Creating videos is a process that students enjoy because the final product is something that they can share with a potentially large audience. Teachers like video projects because students get engaged in developing and sharing their best work. At the end of the project there is always a question of how to share the work. If your school doesn't block it, YouTube is a good way to share (depending on your situation you might make the videos unlisted instead of public).

Protect Hearing By Setting Volume Limits on Music Played in iOS - OSXDaily

Protect Hearing By Setting Volume Limits on Music Played in iOS - OSXDaily | Technology Tools for Students | Scoop.it

"Have you ever had someone pass you their headphones to hear a song, and had your ears blasted by an outrageously loud volume level? Well, by default, anyone can crank the volume up on music played from an iOS device to 100%. That may sound like no big deal, but there are situations where listening to music that loud could potentially be problematic, leading to inattentiveness to the outside world or even theoretical hearing issues. This is particularly important for kids, who may not realize that the volume level is harmful. Thus, if you or your kids listen to a lot of music with headphones on from an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, you may want to consider setting a maximum volume limit for the Music app."

The 12 Best iPad Apps For The World Language Classroom - Edudemic

The 12 Best iPad Apps For The World Language Classroom - Edudemic | Technology Tools for Students | Scoop.it

"The iPad has fundamentally changed how and what I teach in my Spanish classes. First of all, I no longer use textbooks. Ever. Why would I when everything I need and more is available online or through an app? As educators, we are often told to teach students “21st century skills”, but let’s be honest, more often than not; it is the teachers who need to become more proficient in how to reach young people through technology."
