How to Start a Mobile DJ Company

How to Start a Mobile DJ Company | Business Management | Scoop.it
Running your own mobile DJ company is an ideal job for anyone who loves music and has a personality which is outgoing and full of energy. Although fun and exciting, DJing is also a demanding job, and ...
Jhonny's insight:

My Thoughts:

What I really like about this article is that it talks specifically about owning/starting up a mobile DJ company. To be a good DJ you have to know what ‘today’s” music is like and understand all types of genres of music. Once you understand all types of genres of music, you’ll understand what people want to hear. Once you understand that, you’ll have a thriving DJ company. A good way to improve your DJ’ing skills is to play music at a friend’s party or a get together. You can ask what they think about your skills of being a DJ. I picked this article because it’s neat and easy to follow and comprehend. Everything you need to know about owning a successful DJ company is on this article. One thing that I learned from all these articles is that you always have to appear as a professional. No one is going to take you serious if you’re not serious about your company. You want to show people that you’re very serious about your company and that you believe in your company.

Managing the Stress of Starting Your Own Business

Managing the Stress of Starting Your Own Business | Business Management | Scoop.it
Stop spieling off platitudes about risk. Instead, develop a strategy to offset the oof, ugh and ouch! that can tag along with a risk-taking life.
Jhonny's insight:

My Thoughts:

This article really does mean a lot to me and it is very inspirational. It tells business owners to take risks in life. Without risking something you will never know what you’re missing out. I like this article because it talks about a real business owner who knew what it was like to fall into debt and to learn about how you get up from it as well. To run a business you have to accept the fact that failure can occur. You have to live with the fact that you have to risk everything you have to make sure that your business strives and you can provide food on the table for the family you might have in the future. "Running your own business takes nerves of steel," says Dan McDade, founder and president of PointClear, an Atlanta-based prospect development company. I am the type of person who loves to take risks and do things other people might not want to do. That’s why running my own business would be a great for me because I have all the essentials a person needs to run a business.

The Pros & Cons of Starting a New Business

The Pros & Cons of Starting a New Business | Business Management | Scoop.it
Beginning a business venture is an exciting and potentially beneficial prospect, but also one that is filled with uncertainty and risk. Whether you are starting your own business or forming a ...
Jhonny's insight:

My Thoughts:

What I really like about this article is that it talks about the good and bad things about owning your own business. I like it because it not only talks about the great things of owning your business, but it also talks about the bad and hard things of owning your own business. One thing that I learned reading this article was that a 2009 article in USA Today cited research that found that "self-employed businesspersons were four times more likely to be millionaires than those in traditional employer-employee roles." That is definitely one of the pros of owning your own business. One of the cons that I learned was that the average American works about a 40 hour a week schedule, but those that own their own business/company might have to work up to 52 hours a week and those numbers can get even higher. This is very helpful because it gives me a sneak peek of what I should expect from owning my own business. I also learned about this new link  http://go.lendio.com/DynamicTest.html?campaign=Google-Network&adgroup=Small_Business_Administration_Loans-Dynamic&term=small%20business%20administration%20loan%20programs&gclid=CMyP_7TolLsCFdiUfgod_i4AGg where you can sign up to see if you qualify for a small business loan. That really helped me so that I keep this link in mind for the future.
