Ariana Melendez's insight:

Huge market for any company offering streaming or cloud computing.  Office 365 and google docs could have even more appeal to business travelers who could access their documents on the plane.  Company called Gogo currently offers wifi for airlines but speeds are still slow.  They use ground based internet for domestic flights and plan to use satellites for international flights.

Theoretical physicist explains why Moore’s Law will collapse | Chips | Geek.com

Theoretical physicist explains why Moore’s Law will collapse | Chips | Geek.com | BUS 550 | Scoop.it
Moore’s Law has been around since 1965 when Intel co-founder Gordon E. Moore described it in a paper. Since that day, the law has been in full effect, and the number of transistors [...]
Ariana Melendez's insight:

Explains the expected leveling off of Moore's Law due to chips getting as small as 5 atoms across: heat and leakage.  Leakage is due to Heisenberg's uncertainty principle (cannot know both position and momentum), when the chip is so small, the electron may be located outside.

Future preditions: in the next 10 years, tweeks to existing technology (3d chips).  After that, molecular computing.  Then maybe late in the 21st century, quantum computing.
