Reviví lo mejor del partido | Brazil World Cup 2014 | Scoop.it
Si querés volver a sufrir el segundo triunfo de la Selección en el Mundial repasá las jugadas más destacadas de la tarde de Belo Horizonte.
Mati Adami's insight:

Before the beginning of the World Cup, Iran was the weakest team of the Group F. On the court, Queiroz decided to defend all match long so, in the end, that weakest team became in a tough one. Lionel Messi, with his magic, made Argentina classify to the next round.

The highlights demonstrate the way Iran planified the match and the situations they generated to transform Sergio Romero into the best player of the game..

Mighty Spain Goes Out of the World Cup Meekly

Mighty Spain Goes Out of the World Cup Meekly | Brazil World Cup 2014 | Scoop.it

Is thThere was a sense of pity in seeing a legend fall so unexpectedly, and appear so helpless, in Spain’s loss to Chile, in which a death knell clanged for most of the game.

Mati Adami's insight:

Brazil 2014 is the worst farewell for one of the greatest teams of the world. Spain was eliminated by Chile in the second match of the World Cup and, surprisingly, they will return home quickly, as Italy in 2010 or France in 2002, after reaching it on the last edition.

Vicente Del Bosque was the head of a beautiful project with excellent results: two Eurocup's and one World Cup, the first in Spain history. Brasil 2014 is the end of some player's, but the beginning of a new page with a big future.

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo ruled out for Mexico friendly
Mati Adami's insight:

Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the biggest doubts of the World Cup. Portugal will play a friendly match against Mexico, in New Jersey, and the best player of the year is recovering from a tendinitis in his left leg. Raul Meireles and Pepe, two of the best footballers of Portugal will be absent too.

The first match of the World Cup is against Germany and Ronaldo is doing his best to arrive to that commitment in good conditions.

Huntelaar: I believe in my team

Huntelaar: I believe in my team | Brazil World Cup 2014 | Scoop.it
Injury may have kept Klaas-Jan Huntelaar sidelined for most of the season, but the striker has hit top form in time for Brazil 2014. The prolific Netherlands striker spoke to FIFA.com about the 2010 Final defeat and the Oranje's hopes for 2014.
Mati Adami's insight:

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, the 30-year-old Dutchman, talks with FIFA's web and tell everybody his feelings for the Brazil World Cup. He've been injured on the last period and nowadays, he is in perfect conditions to battle with Robin van Persie for a starting berth. However, he said that another possibility is to play with him and accommodates two forwards.
The feelings are closed to the beginning and Holland has the obligation to be a tough team taking into account that they participated in the final at South Africa 2010. Huntelaar prefers to forget the past and go ahead. The future is really close!

England squad arrive at Rio hotel in Brazil to be greeted by ranks of riot police

England squad arrive at Rio hotel in Brazil to be greeted by ranks of riot police | Brazil World Cup 2014 | Scoop.it
The fearsome team of 24 military coppers carrying semi-automatic weapons are part of the largest security operation in Brazilian history
Mati Adami's insight:

The banner which argentinian players showed in the friendly match against Slovenia caused a very big repercussion on the England team. "Las Malvinas son argentinas" - The Falkland are Argentine, was the phrase. This decision goes against the FIFA's law which argues that teams must not use any political, religious or personal statements at matches.

Lampard, Chelsea's player, and Roy Hodgson, the coach, avoid any kind of declarations to the press about this topic. Both of them told that England is in good conditions to start the World Cup next Saturday, against Italy.

Protesters pledge to wreck half-finished and late World Cup | The Times

Fewer than half of Brazil’s infrastructure projects are complete and there is a wave of protests against the billions spent on the tournament
Mati Adami's insight:

Brazil World Cup is plenty of doubts. The protesters appeared in the FIFA Confederation Cup last year, and they threat the government every day. The question is clear: Are they going to be present during June? We have to remember that the World Cup will start in only three weeks!

There are many projects unfinished and some of them were abandoned. Statistics are on the link above.
