Solar power is one of the many blessings we get from nature. Through solar power, we can now enjoy electricity without paying hefty electric bills. Solar power or the energy from the sun can be converted into electricity. There are two ways to do this, either through the use of photovoltaic cells or through concentrated solar power. There are many companies offering solar products. As a matter of fact, solar energy companies have been around since 1970. However, it is only recently that they start to enjoy popularity because only now did people realize the effects of their bad lifestyle to the environment and started looking for another source of energy.

Swimmers will be pleased with Forbes Shire Council’s decision to immediately install an advanced solar heating system at Forbes Olympic Swimming Pool.The solar heating system is expected to be installed in the next fortnight so that swimmers can immediately enjoy warmer temperatures.The new system will replace the old heaters which broke at the start of the season.Mayor Ron Penny says the replacement solar heating system was considered of high importance to council, which is why they decided to go ahead with the installation rather than wait for government funding.

Partnership to finance energy assessments for buildings - Delaware Newszap

In an effort to promote the use of energy efficient practices among Delaware’s nonprofits, The Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility has partnered with the University of Delaware’s Industrial Assessment Center to finance energy assessments for non-residential buildings throughout the state. The partnership allows the assessment center to now service nearly every kind of non-residential building in Delaware, said Tony DePrima, Delaware Sustainable Energy Utility executive director.

Under this program 30% to 50% or more of the initial cost of the solar pool heating system will be refunded back. There is $80 million available on a first come first serve basis until the funds run out.This program applies to all multi-family commercial, government, educational and non-profit swimming pools that are PG&E customers. Solar pool heating systems in single-family residential installations are not eligible to receive incentives.
