R - This video gives in depth in details about Canada's sustainable forests, however we are looking more specifically at the boreal forests and how over time the efforts to make it sustainable have changed.

 

A - The video was published by a credible YouTube channel, SMF Canada, that focuses on positioning Canada as a world leader in sustainable forest management.

 

A - This video gives lots of details about the Canadian boreal forests and provides statistics, visuals of wildlife, and details that relate back to the topic.

 

P - The video is made to promote and encourage sustainability in Canadian forests as well as to show the way that forestry and working towards sustainability has changed over the years.

R- The video goes in depth with descriptions of Canada's boreal forest. There is lots of information about the pros, of the boreal forest within this video. Many of the communities of Canada are found within the boreal forest. These communities rely on the forest for business and culture. 

 

A- This video is very creditable because it features Dr. Gordon Miller, Director General with the Canadian Forest Service. He was also uploaded by NaturalResourcesCa which supports the sustainable development of our natural resources.

Canada's Boreal Forest is one of the last great wildernesses, making up a quarter of the original intact, unlogged. forest that remains on Earth. This vast expanse is home to about 20 tree species, predominantly white and black spruce, jack pine, tamarack and balsam fir. It provides a home to a wide array of wild life. including nearly 200 bird species. It is also home to the boreal woodland caribou, an endangered species wider Canada's Species at Risk Act.

A- The writer of this article is very knowledgable on the subject and has accurate statistics and details regarding the topic of forestry and how to make it sustainable as well as protecting the boreal woodland caribou.

 

P- The author's purpose is to explain and convey to the readers the importance of making forestry sustainable for Canada's boreal forest as well as other forests across the globe and why protecting the boreal woodland caribou is significant.
