Museum Meermanno, Den Haag Museum Meermanno is het oudste boekenmuseum ter
wereld. Het Museum Meermanno is gevestigd in het sfeervolle voormalige

Snow in The Hague! Compare the Meermanno Museum's alphabet playground with winter icing with its alphabet playground with summer kid sprinkles here: https://www.meermanno.nl/. ; You may have to wait for the carousel to bring around the picture. Sampling China's post-Tiananmen avant-garde, the Guggenheim Museum evokes both fading one-world hopes and rising ethical divisiveness.
Robert Bolick's insight:
“Art and China after 1989: Theater of the World,” now appearing at the Guggenheim Museum in New York through January 7, 2018, includes work from Xu Bing and Huang Yong Ping (shown above is his "The History of Chinese Painting and a Concise History of Modern Painting Washed in a Washing Machine for Two Minutes").

The exhibition attracted animal rights protestors and removal of works. It also occasioned this article in "Art in America" by managing editor Richard Vine. He has held up art's hard mirror to us all in this essay.

Read and reflect.

"Excess leather bound volumes of parliamentary proceedings have provided an opportunity for the Parliament House Art Collection to engage with artists to create new artworks that reinterpret, reuse and recycle these incredibly evocative objects that span almost 120 years of Australian political history. Inspired by these objects, artists have responded by creating artworks that engage with the materiality of the books as well as the social, cultural and political issues within their pages."
