Joanna Penn is a successful independent fiction author who publishes a blog and a podcast called "The Creative Penn." I subscribe to both and new and aspiring authors will find her helpful. Her first book was Pentecost and Prophecy is coming out soon.

 

She writes here about the debate over the definition and the perception of independent publishing. Traditional publishers bash self-publishing as low quality vanity press out of one side of their mouths and turn around and market their own, so-called, self-publishing divisions out of the other side.
