Play Only 4 Of The Simplest Notes And You Gotta Scorchin' Blues Guitar Solo! In Just Six Video Chunks! http://t.co/CMiJ9ud04Q
Blues Guitar Stuff's insight:

Griff has got a lot of mileage out of his famous 4 note blues solo. His youtube clip has 1,752,946 views at this date.

These six video chunks takes his video and breaks his 12 bar 4 note solo into six videos. This free course is a dripfeed course so you get a video chunk every couple of days.

The first 3 days are 4 bar chunks, the next 2 are 8 bars chunks and the last one is the whole 12 bat enchilada.

This free course makes his solo even more accessible to a beginner guitar player or a busy guitar player who only wants to spend a couple of minutes a day with really focused video learning that doesn't take over their whole hour, morning or day.

Blues Guitar Stuff's insight:

The thing that separates Griff from most guitar player and guitar teachers is that the dude is a transcriber.

The transcriber is the one who sits at the music and writes down what he hears as notes and rhythms and converts that into stave and tab notation.

A non-transcribing musician is like the doctor with a stethoscope and thermometer who can handle most basic illnesses.

The transcribing musician has those tools plus all the surgical tools and an operating theatre.

Griff's transcriptions add incredible authority to his teaching. Let's see. Marty Schwartz does not transcribe. Justin Sandercoe does videos without transcriptions. And Lorne Hemmerling transcribes.

All Griff's stuff comes with his own transcriptions.

The Complete Guide to Playing Blues Guitar Part One - Rhythm Guitar (Play Blues Guitar Book 1) - Kindle edition by Joseph Alexander. Download it once and read it on your Kindle device, PC, phones or tablets.
Blues Guitar Stuff's insight:

Interesting.  Blues rhythm is mostly triplet 8ths and sixteenths, along with eighths notes.  But you can't feel any of these subdivisions unless  you can feel the bags of times that happen on each quarter note.  That is, on each beat. On each quarter note

Rhythm Guitar books mostly talk about guitar first, guitar chords second and then a distant third---usually way, way, far off into the distance kind of third---to rhythm.

One place where guitar players talk rhythm first, rhythm second and rhythm third is at http://rhythmisations.com

I wish Joseph Alexander well with his book.
