3 Creative Tools to Encourage Student Feedback and Improve Teaching Skills - Edudemic

3 Creative Tools to Encourage Student Feedback and Improve Teaching Skills - Edudemic | Blue Pony Professional Development | Scoop.it
These are just a few of the best creative tools to help you improve teaching, student feedback, and a whole lot more.

At the end of each course, every educator tries to harvest the efforts allotted through good results. Student achievements give purpose to all the hard work and every hour spent to find new activities. But sometimes it is not enough. To be able to properly comprehend the bad and the good, to develop your teaching skills and manage to provide a better learning environment, it is necessary to request feedback from your students.

omri kagan's curator insight, December 13, 2013 2:13 PM

This amazing site provides electonic tutoring in several subject areas. It is a free service that is both visual and auditory.  This site is rare in that it teaches topics that range from elementary through post-secondary level material.

Daniel Thurmond's curator insight, April 13, 2014 11:21 AM

This tool is great for both reinforcement of topics or even for primary student learning. It is a resource where a huge number of concepts are taught by an instructor voicing over the video. The instruction is sound and easy to understand. It could be used to solidify a concept or be the students first encounter with the topic. It can be used at the infusion level but mostly will be used at the adoption or adaption level.

Do you earn better from videos?  Did you have a bad day in class and couldn't pay attention?  Did you not understand the content the way that I presented it?

Visit the Khan Academy and you will find an extensive collection of excellent video tutorials about geometry as well as several other topics.  The service is free!

* Please communicate with one another about the ways that you are able to use this resource effectively.  Let this learning community know about any specific uses that worked very well in your classroom so that we can all share our best ideas as we improve teaching practices and student outcomes.  *
