Apple stuff

Apple stuff | blagghhhhh | Scoop.it

I dont know if i'm sort of biased. but when i try to think of the top 5 gadgets i know, i can only think of apple products.. first of all, the iPhone.. yes, there are a lot of touch screen cellphones now that can do almost anything, but i still prefer to have the iPhone. next is the iTouch, although it has almost all of the feature that iPhone has, but it is defiantely cheaper, so i'd still go for it. Thirdly, the iPod nano that you can convert into a wrist watch.. i still think that it is super cool since its a handy gadget slash accessory.

Fourth, the cool touch pad. i'm not sure if any other companies invented the touch pad first, but i am definately impressed with the mouse thingy of apple since it is also very convenient to use. Lastly, the iPad. Yes, there are a lot of different tablet brands now, but i would still choose to buy apply, tablets will be the next generation laptops, its just a matter of time.

wikis

when we google something in the internet, there's a big chance that one of the top answers is a description of something by wikipedia or something. we can find almost anything in wikipedia, it describes almost everything. Yes i think that we can find accurate information in Wikipedia, but maybe just for the general stuff, if one is doing research and all, then one should rely on Wikipedia. for random stuff, yeah, it think it will suffice

Cloud Computing

First thing that comes into my mind when I hear cloud computing is Apple's iCloud. I really think that it is cool and impressive to finally have instant connection for all of my gadgets. This is only one feature that cloud computing provides. Although despite all of these technology, for some reason i'm still thinking of what other sort of technology can still be developed? http://cloudcomputing.sys-con.com/node/1792026

Top 3 skills I want to know and learn

First of all, I really want to acknowledge Sir Benedict Avila, because I’ve always been talking about wanting to learn how to use Adobe Photoshop, and he gave me the opportunity to learn how to use it. It’s kind of hard to learn something if you don’t know where to use it. Now, since it’s part of the requirements, I’m happy that i am forced to do it, this way, I can really learn how to use it. So thank you! Second, I’ve always wanted to learn how to do all of the boarding stuff like skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, etc. This year, I’m scheduled to go surfing in Baler, Philippines and snowboarding in China with friends; so this is another thing that I plan and will learn. Lastly, i really think that learning accounting is a very irritating but useful skill, so this is one of the most important things that I plan to learn. And of course, I must since I am taking the MBA. There are lots of things to know and learn about, I’m sure I can learn about almost everything I want if I put my heart and mind in it.

Innovative technologies

From all of the technologies that we are seeing, it’s really hard to decide if which I should consider as my favourite. Anyway, I really think that tablets are really one of the best innovative items that is booming at the moment, I know that the technology has been there for quite a while now. But it’s only recent that a lot of people can afford the technology. Just imagine, a few years ago, we were all using desktop computers, then a few years after, everyone started to convert to using laptops instead. Now, since it’s becoming more affordable, tablets are the new in thing. I also think that the ipod nano that you can convert into a wrist watch is pretty clever. It’s so convenient and fancy so I really like it. Lastly, I’m kind of lazy sometimes so I really like the idea of wireless charging. I just put my phone on top of a gadget then it starts charging. It’s kind of simple but I think that little things like these are what makes technology better. What is the advantage of using youtube as a learning resource?

I’ve always thought that one of the best ways to learn and entertain yourself is by talking to people. Using social networking sites, video-sharing sites, etc. can also be an alternative; you can still communicate with other people virtually. In youtube.com, it can be fun and frustrating. You can find lots of interesting ideas thru videos, but of course since lots of people are posting videos of random topics; it is sometimes hard to find good sources. Some videos are great, but sometimes, you find videos that are just weird and totally not what you’re looking for. I was once trying to learn how to do card tricks and found a video entitled “How to do the world’s greatest card trick”. It wasn’t exactly what I’m trying to find (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vcie7vYjk1E). Anyway, I still think that youtube.com can be a great learning source, but it is a BIGGG unabridged library, so you need to be very patient if you’re looking for something serious and useful.

all about meeee

all about meeee | blagghhhhh | Scoop.it

Hiiiii! My name is Louis Enriquez, I am currently working in Citibank and a graduate student in De La Salle University. I currently live in Eastwood, QC but my home town is Imus, Cavite. I have a sister who’s starting college next school year, and I am really excited for her. I like going out with friends and family, I like having fun and doing anything new. I like telling stories, so I also like listening to stories (that way, I can re-tell the stories I’ve heard to my other friends) hehe! Sometimes, I do weird and crazy things, but maybe that’s just who I am, it’s a good thing that I have lots of weird friends too! We live in a crazy weird world with crazy people, so I don’t think it will hurt if we become slightly crazy from time to time. It’s just more exciting that way. But despite all things, I just want to point out that I am Christian and I do make it a point to put God on top of all the things that I do and think about. It’s hard, but I am trying. I hope you can learn more about me thru these sites: ENJOY! :)

virtual education

eLearning is something that teachers should take advantage. I really think that we should always adapt to good changes, and i believe that eLearning can have a very positive impact in learning, so educators should master how to apply this and teach this to the younger generation.

soft vs hard copies

I really think that blogs and online stuff are really great and convenient.

But I still believe that making hard copies are still better.

Personally, i like reading an actual book rather than reading a blog thru my laptop or tablet. I believe that I am not the only one that feels like this. Yes, blogs are convenient but we cannot erase our hard copies.. http://www.howtostartablog.org/blog-advantages.html

What are the advantages of web 2.0

Web 2.0 can be in a way a new version of the World Wide Web. It may not necessarily be an upgrade, but it is definitely the updated version of how the internet world is. Examples of Web 2.0 include social networking sites, blogs, web applications, video sharing applications, etc. Thru web 2.0, communication is easier for almost everyone in the globe. If I may quote from one author: “Web 2.0 would make the Internet a true democratic system, a digital democracy” (http://www.exforsys.com/tutorials/web-2.0/advantages-and-disadvantages-of-web-2.0.html). It’s truly amazing how we can easily communicate with almost anyone, anytime, and anywhere around the globe as long as we have internet. It only takes one click, one click to send a message to anyone and one “refresh” from one computer to a gazillion other computers any kind of message. Freedom to communicate is a gift that none of us should abuse or use in bad things. Now, with web 2.0 rapidly developing, plus more and more people are getting involved. I believe that we can enjoy this current freedom that we have, but I do hope that someone or some sort of group is preparing for what possible threat web 2.0 can also cause to society. I’m not saying that this is bad, I just think that it won’t hurt if we prepare in some sort of way.

My Top 3 management guru

I’ll be honest, I’m not really sure who are even the known management gurus. So I just typed in top management guru’s and researched about the people in the list that I actually know. First that came in the list is Michael Porter. He is considered to be the father of modern strategy. He is the one who proposed the theory of Competitive advantage; this theory suggests that businesses should pursue policies that create high-quality goods to sell at high prices in the market. (http://www.vectorstudy.com/management_gurus/michael_porter.htm). Another great management guru if Peter Drucker. He is the man who coined the term “knowledge worker” and defined the“7 sources of innovation” (http://www.innovationmanagement.org/Wiki/index.php?title=7_Sources_of_Innovation_(Peter_Drucker)). Lastly, I’m sure that almost everyone knows the famous Bill Gates, a management guru and still one of the richest man in the world. (http://www.citehr.com/117906-worlds-10-top-management-gurus.html). Bill Gates continuous to be one of the inspirations of many people on how to be great and successful, and of course, rich!
