A spoof of the fact that major credit card and online payment companies have withheld over $15 Million in donations to WikiLeaks.

 

WikiLeaks only allows submissions of leaks through the Tor network.  SilkRoad only allows access through Tor.  Silkroad only accepts Bitcoins.  That's the connection here.  And it's well done.

Bitcoins are a hybrid currency/commodity, like gold used to be.  Gold is now totally impractical as a currency.  If you doubt that, try spending some gold today.  Bitcoin is a commodity in the same way that gold is a commodity, but it can be easily used as a currency by anyone who takes the time to understand how it works.  And as new products come out designed around bitcoin, it will become as easy as a credit card.
