CHICAGO - Jay Altman smoked cigarettes for 25 years before deciding a few months ago that for the sake of his wallet and his health, a change was in order.

 

But Altman didn't quit - he switched.

 

The North Side insurance worker swapped his daily pack and a half of smokes for the vanilla-flavored nicotine aerosol of an electronic cigarette. He feels better these days, he said, and not just because he's saving more than $100 a week.

Se plantean diversas cuestiones relacionadas con la capacidad  inventiva del hombre así como también se critica la poca visión de futuro, las consencuencias de dicha invención.

Todo esto relacionado con la creciente necesidad de desarrollar nuevos medicamentos, debido a las resistencias que han desarrollado diversos microorganismos. Pero ¿Quién va a asumir los costes de dichas investigaciones? y aún más importante ¿Quién va a asumir las consecuencias de los efectos futuros de dichos medicamentos, que aún se desconocen?
