Relevance- The article discusses the definition of a tundra and what the word means in general. 

 

Authority- It was written by people that did significant research on Alpine Tundras and got their information from other books that were written by professionals who studied the biome themselves. 

 

Accuracy- The article is very reliable because it was based off of professional research. 

 

Purpose- The article  give details about the differences in geography and climate between the arctic tundra and the alpine tundra and provides the general environment of the Alpine Tundra.

Relevance- The case study displays various factors of the alpine tundra.


Authority- This study was conducted by Kirk M. Stueve, graduate student of Texas A&M University, in Mount Rainier National Park for his doctoral dissertation


Accuracy- It is reliable because Stueve used state-of-the-art satellite technology to collect his data, such as LIDAR-based DEM and GIS.


Purpose- The case study was conducted to show the the biotic and abiotic factors of an alpine tundra and how they affected tree establishment patterns.

Relevancy- The article discusses one aspect of the biodiversity in the Arctic Tundra. It provides research done by professional ecologists and their conclusions about how biodiversity is affected in the Alpine Tundra regions

 

Authority- The people who wrote this article are professional ecologists who based their informations off of the experiments and studies by professionals as well

 

Accuracy- This article is somewhat accurate based on the fact that the data that is used is from the Alpine Tundra region and not just assumed. 

 

Purpose- This article discusses the biodiversity in the Alpine Tundra region how it is changing based on the weather. Although this is not in human control, it provides enough information to the reader that they can know about the environment as a whole.

Currency- This video was made in 2013 so it is very current. 

 

Relevancy- The video shows an Alpine Tundra as someone walks through it and discusses the general behaviors that it has. They show the extremes of each place and what it is like there. 

 

Authority- The people that made this video are professional Ecologists. One man was raised in Colorado, an Alpine Tundra, so he knows a lot about the environment. They have researched and visited multiple biomes and know many varieties. 

 

Accuracy- The accuracy of this video is correct because it is filmed within the biome that they are discussing so you can see proof of what they say. 

 

Purpose- It shows the viewers the biome "in person"  and provides them with a lot of information about the biome itself. They show the climate differences and what the biome looks like during those changes.
