@FranEI Nations Cup™ Jumping went global this week, when the inaugural leg of the new series running under the Furusiyya banner took place in the United Arab Emirates.

The what? The FEI tells us: "Furusiyya" (Arabic: فروسيه): this single Arabic word conveys so much, embracing the idea of horsemanship, chivalry, and equestrian knowledge in general. The term comes from faris, or horseman, and faras, a horse."

A four-year gobal Furusiyya Nations Cup series is planned and it's coming to Wellington, Florida. next weekend, when the Palm Beach International Equestrian Club will host some of the best horses and riders from across the globe in the $75,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup presented by G&C Farm.

Today, the US Equestrian Federation announced the team that would represent the USA:

.Kent Farrington (Wellington, FL) on R.C.G. Farm’s Uceko
Uceko is a 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Reed Kessler (Lexington, KY) on her own Cylana
Cylana is an 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare

Laura Kraut (Royal Palm Beach, FL) on Cherry Knoll Farm, Inc.’s Cedric
Cedric is a 15-year-old Holsteiner gelding

Beezie Madden (Cazenovia, NY) on Abigail Wexner’s Simon
Simon is a 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding

Robert Ridland will serve as Chef d’Equipe for the Senior Rider team.

Spectators and fans in attendance at the $75,000 Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup presented by G&C Farm are invited to a Team USA Nations Cup Pep Rally Reception hosted by the USET Foundation and the USEF from 6-7pm on Friday evening.
