The Latino gender gap: Latina voters prefer Obama by 53 point margin | Latino Decisions | Bellaire Gov | Scoop.it

2012 Election Polls - Presidential Race | Bellaire Gov | Scoop.it

In this poll the favorability rating of both Romney and Obama is displayed. On August, 27 the day of the Republican Convention Romney's favorability rating was a modest 45.7% compared to Obama's 46.8% favorablity rating. Romney's favorablity rating slowly crawled up to 46.1% post convention (Sept. 1) while Obama's rating declined to 46.4%. The reason behind such a small "bump" could be explained by the lack of clear cut discussion of policies in Romney's speech or the fact that the Romney was overshadowed by Clint Eastwood's bizzare stand up routine. Romney's speech focused more on emotion and public perception than actual political ideals. This could have alienated some potential supporters although in the end was enough to secure some type of increase in favorablity. The end result however is Obama 1/10th a percent ahead of Romney. The race is still close and any candidate could easily pull ahead.
