HSBC failed to implement anti-money laundering controls.
Resulted in over $881m in drug trafficking money being laundered by criminal gangs. The bank in mexico was "severely understaffed" which lead to a failure in implementing an anti-money laundering system. A Scheme known as the 'black market peso exchange' (BMPE) was used to launder the money. The bank was charged a record $1.9bn to settle the accusations. Their records will be carefully monitored while a new anti-money laundering system is set up.

Denmark's Lego becomes the world's 2nd biggest toy maker, with a rise of 13% in first-half sales.
The firm is controlled by Denmark's richest man, Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, who is the grandson of Lego's founder.
The sales have increased due to the release of the 'Legend of Chima' range; which appealed to a large audience.
A large majority of the sales came from Asia, with a 35% sale increase in the first half of the year, surpassing both Europe and America. The company plans to build a factory in china with the recent success in Asia. Production starts next year
