There are many different symptoms of a stomach ulcer the most common sypmtom of a stomich ulcer is consistent pain and discomfort in the stomach. Some other sympotoms are abdonimal pain after eating, bloating and having a feeling of adonimal fullness and more. Some symptoms are so serious that you must go and see a doctor immediatley, some of these symptoms are throwing up blood, melana,any type of sharp burning pain in the stmach and last but not least a gastric or duodenal perforation. An ulcer is not something to joke about they can become very serious and you may need medical attention as soon as possible. So if you experience any of these symptoms you may want to go and see what is cauing the pain.

Now a days ulcers are very common 1 in 10 Americans will suffer from an ulcer. Our society is more likey to have an ulcear becasue we east more fatty foods than we would have in the past.The rareest type of ulcer is the esophageal ulcer this specific type of ulcer is usually a result of alchol abuse. One interesting face that studies has shown is that, " while excessive stomach acid secretion certainly plays a role in the development of ulcers, a relatively recent theory holds that bacterial infection is the primary casue of peptic ulcers. There are many factors as to how ulcers are developed such as the over-the-counter painkiller some examples are asprin, ibuprofen and naproxen. Heavy alcohol use, and smoking exacerbate and may promote the development of ulcers.
