The conflict was that Sitting Bull, the most famous Sioux chief, was killed in a skirmish following an attempt to arrest him.

The people that were in the "Battle of the Wounded Knee" were the Sioux and the U.S. troops.

The outcome was that 300 Sioux troopers, including women and children, were killed. 29 in total ended up dead after this Massacre.
