This article talks about the recent announcements by Sony and Oculus regarding their virtual reality technology.  Although most of this is just speculation on whether it will actually work or not, I particularly like the part about competition.  Competition will, as he states, only make things better for virtual reality.  More people competing to make the best product means more progress will be made in the area of virtual reality by constantly pushing new innovation.  The fact that many people are willing to put money and effort into this technology makes me very optimistic regarding the future of virtual reality.

The Oculus Rift is one of the first proper virtual reality kits that will be available in the coming years.  For years virtual reality has been mentioned in both television and literature, however it has only recently begun to become a reality.  Although this article is mainly revolved around the use of virtual reality in a gaming environment, it could also be used in other fields.  With Sony also announcing their virtual reality kit for the PS4, virtual reality is finally starting to kick off.
