Odd mix of very well researched facts and incredibly scary cartoon man. I do wish to point out that those houses were not targeted randomly, they were the houses of martyrs or prisoners, and any raid in a village starts with them targeting those houses again and again.

Canadian tar sand is seen as a horribly inefficient form of hydrocarbon energy due to the separation process, which requires more energy than the finished product puts out. Production methods also put off 3-5 times more greenhouse emissions than typical oil production.

"If Obama chooses the dirty needle it will confirm that the President was just green-washing all along, like the other well-oiled coal-fired politicians, with no real intention of solving the addiction," Hansen said, according to an advisory.

Saudi Arabia had led a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) plan to end Yemen's political deadlock by easing Saleh out of office, but he backed out of signing the deal three times at the last minute, leaving Yemen in political limbo.

Last month the Security Council called for "an inclusive, orderly and Yemeni-led process of political transition."

Report: Foundations paid $42 million to spread anti-Muslim propaganda | The Raw Story

Report: Foundations paid $42 million to spread anti-Muslim propaganda | The Raw Story | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

The Center for American Progress has compiled a report in which seven foundations has been paid $42 million dollars to spread fear of Muslims in America.

"The report, titled “Fear Inc.: The Roots Of the Islamophobia Network In America,” documents which anti-Muslim organizations have played a part in the rise of Islamophobia throughout the country. The seven foundations include "Donors Capital Fund" and Richard Scaife Foundations, which received more than half of the $42 million spent.

The money has also been given to five key "scholars", including Frank Gaffney, who are considered the masterminds of crafting anti-Muslim propaganda. Those scholars are assisted by the likes of Pamela Gellar and David Horowitz, who help pass off the negative information to Fox News, Allen West, and Newt Gingrich among others.

The Dangers Lurking in the Arab Spring

The Dangers Lurking in the Arab Spring | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it
The revolutions of hope could give way to a cascade of sectarian conflicts.

 ...

So far this year, Shiite-Sunni tensions have been evident in countries from Bahrain to Syria. But put together, they could force the United States to rethink its response to the Arab Spring itself.

Sectarianism is an old wound in the Middle East. But the recent popular urge for democracy, national unity and dignity has opened it and made it feel fresh. This is because many of the Arab governments that now face the wrath of protesters are guilty of both suppressing individual rights and concentrating power in the hands of minorities.

Libya Rebel Leader Appeals Against Reprisals as Massacre Sites Found | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

A rebel leader is asking Libyans not to take revenge as worry mounts over massacre sites.

One week ago, the metal warehouse was a makeshift prison for enemies of Colonel Moammar Gadhafi now it is a death house containing about 50 scorched skeletons. Outside, another eight bodies lie on the grass, one with his hands tied behind his back.

This horror scene is in a compound, which was controlled until Tuesday by the Khamis brigade, an elite neighborhood controlled by Colonel Gadhafi’s son, Khamis. A survivor said that, as rebel forces approached, the Gadhafi soldiers shot their prisoners, and then tried to burn the bodies.

AlKhalifa Hypocrite ! Murderer, liar, torturer, .....etc

AlKhalifa Hypocrite ! Murderer, liar, torturer, .....etc | Human Rights and the Will to be free | Scoop.it

At least 32 people have been killed and hundreds arrested since protests began in February, inspired by other Arab uprisings.
"We would like to emphasize that we do not anticipate putting everyone on trial. There are those who were charged with abusing us and senior officials in Bahrain, and we today announce that we forgive them," said the king in a message for the last part of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
King Hamad also noted that Bahrain's Supreme Court will oversee compensation payments for victims of abuses or for families of those killed during unrest, including security forces.
"There are those who were arrested, and investigations proved that they were the victims of individual behavior and were ill-treated in custody," the king said. "This is not tolerated by God and we do not condone it."
"The last few months were painful for all of us, and even though we all live in the same country, some have forgotten about the inevitability of coexistence," the king said.
He noted, however, that protest-related trials will continue.

[Strange how 'victims of individual behavior' are all Shia, and the Regime doesn't respond to the abuses until after being caught in the act!

Anyone who was a believing Muslim would , at minimum, release all political prisoners,  drop all charges, and then start atoning for their sins to the families and individuals harmed.......
