Evergreen dual international Brad Thorn is reportedly set to write a final chapter in his remarkable playing career by returning to Super Rugby with New Zealand franchise the Highlanders.

 

After representing Australia, specifically the Brisbane Broncos, Thorn went on to play around the world. But due ot his age, his final season is coming to an end with the Highlanders. Thorn has had many honors in the game of rugby and will be a long remembered player for many years to come.

COLLINGWOOD premiership midfielder Sharrod Wellingham last night abandoned the Magpies and apparently hopes to join West Coast during the trade period.

 

Wellingham has intentions to joining West Coast, but with the trade period being so competitive this year, he definitely took a leap of faith here. He is a valued player, but we have already seen some players being put where they do not really want to go.

This is a huge shock to so many officials, players, and fans but the two seem to being taking it with ease. They will focus on the upcoming years and humbly state that they are there to support the team and if the team wasn't going to be a winning one with them on it, then so be it.

Jose Blanco Smith, a native Australian, is playing in the Gold Coast Stevens but is representing Spain! After university, he took a trip to Spain and was hooked up with a club team and the rest, is history. I think that was an awesome opportunity for him. Aftering being in Australia for his whole life, he is able to play the sport he loves while also experiencing some of his background (his father is spanish).
