Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Justin Timberlake Lead 2014 Billboard Music Awards Finalists

Imagine Dragons, Lorde, Justin Timberlake Lead 2014 Billboard Music Awards Finalists | Music News | Scoop.it

The finalists for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards were announced today

Joshua O'Neil's insight:

Will Miley win anything?

Miley has had some bangerz out this year that has being wrecking the industry with her fancy dress performances. She has pulled off some real stuns this year "smoking weed on stage" but with all that said, I feel that she has crazy marketing skills, she has taking the little girl look Hanna Montana, into this bad ass look chick that everyone is talking about. Miley has had some really good music out this year but i could say that she has had so much successes due to the fact of her live performances. She has really had a Impacter on the industry.

Poll: People really hate the music kids are listening to these days

Poll: People really hate the music kids are listening to these days | Music News | Scoop.it
Out of 1,000 people, many think this the worst decade for music: Even though we're only three years in.
Joshua O'Neil's insight:

People need to understand that it as only getting worse, this is a fact because music is based on what takes place in today society which means if you dont like what your kinds are listening to its most likely your problem as of year 1994 this generation can be seen as the Born Free generation this basically means that we are the new generation and with that comes new beginnings and changes, what you listening needs not to have any references on what your kids are listening to, The Music industry is forever changing and will never stop. But at the end of the day one needs to understand that you where once a kid and that you had your music and you had your lifestyle and that the people before you had their music and their lifestyle.

Ultra Music Festival

Ultra Music Festival | Music News | Scoop.it
Organizers claim incident was caused by ticketless fans who were determined to gain unauthorized entry
Joshua O'Neil's insight:

As a result of the incidents at Ultra which was one death and a security guard in the hospital. The city of Miami is wanting to put a stop to this "So called problem festival."

The Festival started 1999 today the festival takes place every year but not only in Miami, it has gone world wide. Last you the Miami gig had the attendance of 330,000 over two weekends.

The thing this is most likely going to happen at festival all the time, its very hard to get something like this right so just to decided that the festival must come to a end in Miami and move somewhere else is unexpected. The question is that is it a problem with the festival being in Miami or is it a problem with the festival being in the "Disney" Florida area, the fact is we that live in orlando which is restricted by the city to when we can and can't party anymore and are forced out of night clubs etc because of the law that you can't sell alcohol after 2:30 "Why that Time" but i feel we are in a Old city that restricts us that build the city with entrainment and clutter as well as us that are paying to keep the city where it is at today.

Pitbull Debuts Official World Cup Song: Listen to 'We Are One' Feat. Jennifer Lopez

Pitbull Debuts Official World Cup Song: Listen to 'We Are One' Feat. Jennifer Lopez | Music News | Scoop.it
Joshua O'Neil's insight:

It's Pitbull, one of the world's most annoying musical artists, recording a song for FIFA about its money-grabbing monstrosity that is the World Cup. Its going to sell because it has references to the WORLD CUP!

It's exactly what you should expect to get when you combine those three entities (Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte) to create four minutes of musical indifference.

Pitbull "sings" his way through what is actually a pretty well-written chorus, but "raps" his way through the first verse without so much as making you feel that "the World Cup is almost here and I'm so excited about it."
