The Art of Video Games is one of the first exhibitions to explore the forty-year evolution of video games as an artistic medium, with a focus on striking visual effects and the creative use of new technologies. It features some of the most influential artists and designers during five eras of game technology, from early pioneers to contemporary designers. The exhibition focuses on the interplay of graphics, technology and storytelling through some of the best games for twenty gaming systems ranging from the Atari VCS to the PlayStation 3.

Highly detailed documentary that highlights the effects that games have on the world, showcasing that games are more widespread then anything else. It goes into detail on which games have had the most impact on culture throughout history such as the introduction of video games to the general public via the creation of Pong by Atari, Space Invaders by the Taito Corporation or the now symbol of gaming; Pacman by Namco. Overall its a well filmed/written documentary on video game history on how video games have evolved throughout the years and the effects it has had on society.

This article provides a personal encounter of how one video game became a persons main form of entertainment. It shows how much a video game can have on a person, teaching them lessons while creating a bond that must will remember for a long time after they stop playing. Finally it shows how video games as a whole allow people to seek topics they find interesting and to purse goals that they find enjoyable.

An article that gives detailed information in regarding the new VR (Virtual Reality) headsets that are being created. It shows the different types of headsets and how they're competing with one another to be the leading developer. Along with the different types of headsets being shown, it also explains the specifications of the headsets along with how they work. Also explained is what is needed to be able to successfully use the VR headset such as that a controller or keyboard is still required to play the game, that the headset is simply a monitor and that a new experimental treadmill is being developed to allow complete immersion into the games.

A journal article in where the writer presents a detailed explanation of how the games of each genre have evolved. Some of these genres include sport games (i.e. Tennis from its original game of Pong to the interactive version on the Wii), role-playing games (games like Zork, simple text based stories to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim with its amazing graphics) and many other popular genres. The article also goes into briefly the mechanics of how the games evolved over time, from their rise to popularity in the 1980s to the change in infrastructure of computers during the 1990s - 2000s.
