A neurosonographers job is to acquire images of the brain and the spinal cord. Many doctors in this field focus on premature infants who could have undeveloped nervous systems and improper brain functions.

7. Another profession is a vascular sonographer which also requires a 2 year associates degree. The average salary is $67,000. A vascular sonographer evaluates blood flow, blood pressure, etc., using images.

A musculoskeletal sonographer takes images of muscles, bones, and all surrounding tendons. The goal is to look for problems such as muscle tears, soft tissue tumors, and to look for signs of rheumatoid arhtritis.
