It’s well known that a kitchen dishcloth is a breeding ground for bugs – leading to increases in sales of anti-bacterial wipes. The trouble with wipes is that a recent feature on BBC’s Trust Me I’m a Doctor showed that using wipes did very little to stop the growth of microbes.

Five new platforms opened at London Bridge station in the latest stage of a £1 billion, five-year redevelopment of the transport hub. The opening of the new platforms coincided with protests across the country as commuters were hit by an average 3.4 per cent hike in rail fares – the largest increase since 2013. The hike has prompted warnings that commuters are being priced out of getting to work.
