Some excellent information on the Chinese economy, incredibly relevant for your current research task. It's not only the manufacturing sector that is growing, it is their service sector. Kingfisher, the owner of DIY chains B&Q and Screwfix, is to close about 60 B&Q stores in UK and Ireland over the next two years.

Kingfisher clearly undertaking a retrenchment strategy, todays announcement adds to this. Yesterday announced that they would not be merging with French Firm Mr Bricolage. Also in December 2014 Kingfisher sold their stake in B&Q China to Wumei Holdings. Lots of questions to think about here. There is a new CEO. What has been the biggest influence on their strategy? Do you think there is anything else they could do.
