Find internships perfect for your major and career goals. Explore the internship opportunities on the world's largest internship marketplace – Internships.com.
Josh's insight:

Your determination plays a huge role in finding an internship. But as I have said before, there are tools such as newspaper, websites, and magazines/articles that can potentially make the process easier. Internship.com is a very helpful intern searching tool; it lists over hundreds of different internships at different companies. To start off, you insert what kind of work you’re looking for: internship, student jobs, or entry level jobs. Next, you enter a keyword that applies to your major in college and your location. For example: “chemical engineering” for keyword and “Los Angels, California” for location. Then you choose your search radius and enter a company if you have a specific one you’re interested in. Lastly, you pick what kind of employer type you want; do you want profit, non-profit, or government employers? After you’re finish filling the information out, the website will automatically list the work opportunity within your requirements. From there, you can search for specific job or internship.

When it comes down to it, this website was very helpful when I was looking for an internship for college. It’s friendly and simple yet it lists over hundreds of work opportunity. If anyone was looking for a job or internship search engine, it’s internship.com.

How does internships benefit students? Simple, it builds confidence, work experience in your major field, gain new skills, earn credit towards atechnical elective, make you more employable after graduation, and you earn money. Now we know why we should be involved in a work experience, we should apply. Many people think interships are for college juniors and seniors, but that's not true. You can find intern as early as a freshmen, in fact, if you're already sure about your career/major, it's beneficial to start early.

To apply for an internship, you're on your own for the most part. It's your determination that will land you a job/internship. However, there are resources out there that can make the process of searching much shorter and easier. Boise State University have listed a dozen websites that can help your research. For example, monster.com, intership.com, INC.com, etc. Overall, it's based on your hard work that will land you the right intership in addition to a well written resume.
