White House Plan on Fiscal Crisis Draws G.O.P. Ire

White House Plan on Fiscal Crisis Draws G.O.P. Ire | AP Government Scrap Book | Scoop.it
Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner’s proposal to the House speaker, John A. Boehner, was loaded with Democratic priorities and short on detailed cuts.
hailey webster's insight:
As the fiscal cliff looms ever nearer the GOP and Obama are still not playing very nicely together. Obama is not guranteing the republicans any cuts and expects them to go along with his tax increases in return. Both sides need to work strongly together to get a plan that will actually work and will not just solve to problem for a couple months.

It was uncovered Friday when General David Petraeus resigned that he was under an investigation into his extramarital affair with Kelley Broadwell. Since General Petraeus was head of the CIA and it was the FBI conducting the investigation many wonder why or even how the FBI had authority to be investigating the US's top spy. Fox news put together a time line of the very confusing events that occured.

If the gap is only widening then in the future the difference in Americans lives will only widen the income gap. The income gap widening will increase the amount of people relying on the government, and will divide people more.
