U.S. expansions during late 1800's and the early 1900's

super saiyan
Justin Mcintosh's insight:

How U.S. expansion was during the late 1800’s & the early 1900’s. First, it was always the dream for manifest destiny. U.S. expansions went from New York to California and now they go even further. Second, the U.S.s annexed Hawaii. Hawaii was annexed after Queen Lili ’ ouklalani was overthrow. Third, after that was the Spanish American war. The war was over lands such as Cuba, Philippines, and Puerto Rico. Fourth, until the 1890’s Cuban’s didn’t rebel against Spain. Cuban’s wanted independence from Spain so they plan to overthrow them with America. Finally, from now to then we have connections of U.S. expansions today. U.S. still asks Puerto Rico to become a state of the U.S. The U.S. wants many lands, so we can become a stronger country.

What were the pros and the cons of U.S. expansion? First, a pro is getting more land. With more land gives you more space. Second, a pro is new things. With expansion come the land and all that that lands well for. Third, after pros there are cons such as taking other territory. Taking land from other people will anger people making them very mad. Fourth, while taking land leads to more wars. People tend to fight for their land and everyone wants to save soldiers. Finally, if you get more land you need more support. When you obtain a land you will have to have the pay taxes supply them with a water system and etc. If you take land you better know what’s in that land and if you can afford it.
