Was Stonehenge built for rock music?
Whittier Daily News
One of the mysteries of Stonehenge is why our ancestors chose to use bluestones that had to be hauled hundreds of kilometres from the Preseli Hills in Pembrokeshire to the site in Wiltshire.
Rebecca Mathis's insight:

Being a music person, I found this very interesting. They think that Stonehenge may have been used for music because when you hit the blue-stones they make a metallic clang sound. There is evidence in other areas that suggest that rocks were used as percussion instruments and the thought of Stonehenge being used for music is pretty cool.

Did the ancient Celts practice human sacrifice?
IrishCentral
We have little more than Roman propaganda writings as proof that the ancient Celts did indeed kill their fellow men as offerings for the gods.
Rebecca Mathis's insight:

I found this article interesting. It's always interesting to learn about what people did in the past and what they believed. It seems like a lot of ancient groups sacrificed humans to the god or gods they believed in, but this is another mystery that probably won't be completely solved.

They discovered a new thing that can cause leprosy and they were able to trace it back to 100,000 years ago, which I thought was cool because i had no idea the disease had been around for that long. They are still looking at the new discovery and hopefully because of it they will be able to find out more about leprosy.

The were also things written about Greek Gods on the walls. They don't think the school was in use long because the teacher either moved or died, but it's still a very cool discovery.

They gave blood infected by the Justinian Plague to fleas to see how they infect others. They can carry up to 100,00 bacteria and it only takes about 10 of the bacteria to be transmitted to a human and get them sick. They hope with this discovery they will be able to find out more about the black death and treat people who are getting it today.
