Thank you Beth, hehe. It was meant to be "in the ocean", but then I found that great picture and decided to move onto "sand".
Thank you so much for referencing my work and for highlighting, as we all must learn to do more often, the good stuff you found in it.

I like this.
Long ago, in a former life, I used to get newspaper articles passed to me each day that were relevant to my job and/or my aspirations. I would take the necessary hour or so each day to remain current with world affairs related to what I did or where I wanted to go.
Curation is a lot like that except it is more global in concept.
This article talks about how to do this in the best way.

If I weren't so lazy, I would have researched and found and shared in this Scooped story the article that details the 10 questions you should ask anyone who claims to be a social media guru. I'm not going to do that in this case, since I want to use this submission as example of how and why the Pro version of Scoop.it makes all the difference in the world to my new guru in the making iagdotme who I am indebited to for turning me on to Commun.it back in 2013. So Ian, the Pro version enables the rich text editor so we can point to a page 3 layers deep within a website like this vs. the fremium version that doesn't have that capability.

Thanks, Neil. The article on the 10 questions you ask a social media guru sounds interesting.
Glad I helped you get back to Commun.it. Do you still use it regularly? I get that Scoop.it allows you to make it easy to share an article to multiple networks with one click, but I don't quite understand the advantages of the Pro version. You say it enables the "rich text editor". I assume that means you can link to other articles and format text with bold and italics. I can see that being helpful, but is it worth paying the money for? What do you mean by pointing to a page "3 layers deep"? |
