This article is a bout a Morris Plains man, who faces a civil lawsuit in the alleged shooting death of his girlfriend,  Nicole Palmieri, 21. The victim invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination during pretrial questioning, according to court records. Palmieri’s mother, Irene Palmieri filed the suit in february against the boyfriend, Brian Lawless.Responding to written interrogatories on July 31, Lawless declined to describe how the shooting occurred, saying he was taking the Fifth “upon the advice of counsel.” This article shows how there really isnt much info on the crime scene because he chose to invoke the 5th amendment which gave out no information on the case

This took place on  Wednesday November 24th.The couple declined to answer questions posed by lawmakers on this trial .they were spotted by the House Homeland Security Committee, the panel that oversees the Secret Service. The couple invoked their Fifth Amendment right to remain silent as member after member pressed them for details about Nov. 24, the night of the state dinner.

Al  Cowlings invoked his 5th Amendment right against self-incrimination for two days straight during this trial.Cowlings took the 5th on questions about any knowledge of Simpson's activities between the morning of June 13, 1994, when Simpson returned from a brief trip to Chicago. He also took the 5th on June 17, 1994, when the two friends briefly disappeared and then took police on a televised, slow-speed chase before Simpson surrendered to the police.In October, Simpson was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife.

This suit was brought up by a women who said her life was shattered when she was swept up in the murder.

This article just goes to show you how strong this amendment is and that you can use it as many times as you want . During this trial the 5th amendment was used 60 times.

 This article is about the former finance director the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.  This The Times reported that he used his personal credit card to buy hundreds of thousands of dollars in stadium equipment to pocket valuable reward points. He also billed the taxpayer-owned stadium for thousands of dollars in gasoline purchases even though his job required little driving. Invoking his right against self-incrimination, the former finance director  declined to testify before a grand jury about alleged corruption at the stadium, then answered questions after a judge granted him limited immunity, transcripts of the proceedings show. In this article he used the fifth amendment by invoking his right against self incrimination.

This video shows  in the begining shows them swearing to tell the truth. Also this video shows the women using her 5th amendment and stating her rights.
