A north London nurse has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed after being involved ‘in a dispute with another woman driver’, say police.Ophelia Okai-Koi, 51, of Galdana Avenue, Barnet has been bailed to appear at Hendon Magistrates’ Court on November 13.A spokesman for the Met said officers were called at just after 6pm on March 4 to an incident in East Barnet Road after a woman suffered head injuries.He said despite the attendance of paramedics 33-year-old Christie McHugh from Barnet was confirmed dead at the scene.A post-mortem examination gave cause of death as head injuries.The police spokesman said: “Ms McHugh was a driver involved. She left her vehicle and an incident occurred during which she was injured.“The vehicle drove away.”An incident room opened at Barnes under DCI Howard Groves, and officers subsequently attended an address in Barnet and arrested 51-year-old nurse Okai-Koi in connection with the inquiry.Police confirmed she was taken to a north west London police station and charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
