1. Suffrage- The right to vote, especially in a political election.

     Many People fought fpr suffrage, most being the women.

 

2. Women's Suffrage- The right for women to vote.

    Women's Suffrage was a huge fight back in the 1890's.

 

3. National American Woman Suffrage Association (NAWSA)- A women's right association to help pass the women's suffrage movement.

    The NAWSA was formed in 1890 and became the larges and most imporant suffrage organization in the United States.

 

4. Equality- The state of being equal.

    Women everywhere were starting to demand more equality.

 

5. Alice Paul- A United States feminist.

    Alice Paul is known mostly from her fight for equal rights for women.

 

6. Muckraker- Socially consious journalist who pushed for social reform.

    Muckrakers we're known well for exposing corruption amoung politics.

 

7. Social Reform- A kind of social movement that aimes to make gradual change of change in certain aspects of society.

    Muckrakers always pushed for social reform to makes things better.

 

8. Quaker- A groupe of christisans who use scripture and believe in great simplicity in daily life and meditation.

    Quakers have traditionally been committed to pacifism.

 

9. Resolution- A resolve (Agreement or Solution) or determination.

    The women's suffrage movement showed a resolution to the government.

 

10. Constitutional Amendment- Of or relationg to an established set of principles governing a state.

    Alice Paul demanded a constitutional amendment, guarnteeing woment the right to vote.
