John Martin's insight:

Is it me or does this look like it's happening in a grocery store? You cannot sell full fledged wines in a grocery store, just wine products. Wine Products = 6% or less alcohol by volume.

Some General Liquor License Classes

Common Liquor License Categories

John Martin's insight:

Although there are many license categories, here are just a few that are the most common:

1. The Deli/Grocery Beer or Beer & Wine License

Allow you to sell beer and wine products but only for off premises consumption

2. The Restaurant Wine license

This allows you to sell beer and wine for consumption in your establishment ONLY if you make the bulk of your money from food. In other words you cannot make most of your money from the drinks sold.

3. The On Premies Bar License

With this license you can sell beer, wine and hard liquor for on premises consumption. Although you don't have to make most of your money from food sales, you still must sell food at your establishment.

4. The Cabaret License

This license is similar to the Bar License above but it differes in that it is given to a place that has live entertainment or dancing.

5. Wholesaler License

This license allows you to sell alcohol only to retailers. You cannot sell to the public with this license. A note should be added here that there were a few licenses give out by the Liquor Authority allowing you to sell to both retailers and consumers at the same time. These licenses are no longer issued. Those that have been issues may be available for sale. You can contact RezzonatorServices.com for more info on this issue.

Of course there are licenses for importing and even for 1 day events. Pretty much everything that involves the sale, distribution or handling of alcohol needs to be licensed.

Too many times these celebrities create products that they themselves don't use (in this case drink). Not that everything is bad, but it's created more for cashing in on the fame and making a good product is almost an afterthought.
