Researchers Confirm Role of Genes in Executive Dysfunction » Public Relations | Blog Archive | Boston University | ADHD Support | Scoop.it

(Boston) – A study led by researchers at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM) and the McKnight Brain Institute shows specific genetic traits may predispose people to executive dysfunction. The findings, which are published online in the journal Molecular Neurobiology, also suggest that genetic mapping may help identify problems in demonstrating executive function skills and could serve as a therapeutic adjunct for increasing executive functioning capabilities.

Our family welcomes you to our website which features important information on teenagers who are struggling with ADD or ADHD. Attention deficit disorder runs in both our families, so we have had a lot of first-hand experience coping with its challenges. Currently all three of our children and two of our grandchildren have been diagnosed with either ADD or ADHD. So my husband and I are personally aware children, especially teenagers with ADD or ADHD present unique challenges for parents, teachers and counselors.
