This article describes how while under the influence of an addiction, a persons normal hierarchy of needs and desires are procuring and using the drug. The article states that a persons reward circuits become dull and desensitized by the drug, explaining why addiction is classifies as a brain disease.  Explains how recovery is possible, and that the brain does eventually after time go back to the original levels of dopamine produced.

This article states that sometimes physical dependence is not part of addiction as a definition. The article points out that some drugs dont cause addiction, but do cause physical dependence, such as blood pressure medications.

I agree with somethings mentioned in this article, but not all. The article talks about drug dependency and it's characteristics. The article points out two types of dependency along with explaining why people become tolerant to a substance.
