AIA Constitution 2018 Update

From www.aiaworldwide.com

AIA’s Constitutional Documents were last updated in 2013 and since that time there have been updates to key legislation and regulatory requirements that need to be incorporated into the Association’s legal and membership regulations.

A review of AIA’s Constitutional Documents was carried out in February 2018 resulting in significant changes to the overall structure and content of the document. Changes to Anti-Money Laundering regulations, the EU Audit Directive and Companies Act provisions, along with AIA requirements for Continuing Professional Development, training and disciplinary regulations mean that incorporating several changes has been necessary.

It is proposed that the AIA Constitution has the following structure:

  • Memorandum of Association
  • Articles of Association
  • Bye-Laws
  • Regulations
  • Code of Ethics

A General Meeting for AIA Members will be held to approve changes to the Constitution at The Carlton Club, 69 St James's St, St. James's, London, SW1A 1PJ on 9 October 2018 at 6pm.

Members can find out more about proposed changes to AIA’s Constitution, view details of the General Meeting and download a Proxy Form at www.aiaworldwide.com/Constitution2018
