This is a classic video from the University of Wisconsin-Madison that will open your empathy eyes and help you see (and hear) what it is like to use a screen reader. 


Accessibility is essential for all users. Section 508 (the ADA of the Internet) has been around for a long time.  UDL is making strides in course design.  Technology is improving... Still this information may be new to many.  Watch and imagine you were dependent on technology to read online.

Starting with Microsoft Office 2010 a new tool for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint called the Accessibility Checker is available that you can use to check your Word documents for any issues that might make it challenging for a user with a disability.
