basic, but useful. Students often confuse summary and analysis, and occasionally need the reminder at the start of this clip, that readers are not interested whether they dis/agree with a quoted author.

Just FYI: in my opinion, the comma after "Sometimes" in the second sentence does not belong there. One of the challenges and dangers of writing about writing is that others will take potshots at your skills. These are apps and sites mostly for kids, but that does not diminish how useful they might be for adults who are developing language and literacy skills, especially English language learners. |
