the 1950s was the period of American social history. in 1954, the U.S. Supreme Court killed the “separate but equal” thing that formed the discrimination in the state toward African Americans. During the civil rights movement, civil rights activists used nonviolent protests to bring about change such as the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and the Civil Right Act of 1968. Some notable leaders include MLK Jr., Rosa Parks, Malcolm X, and Andrew Goodman.

This article covers presidential candidate, Hillary Clinton, who  may be in a pickle for record keeping regulations by a personal email account during her entire tenure as secretary of state. According to MSNBC, she did not have an official governmental account while in State. MSNBC is a democratic news station. Therefore, they defended her saying shes not the only one. They used great words like- attack and quick to pounce- basically saying the republicans were watching her every move.

Senator David Purdue raised $13,814,847 in the previous primary election; 60% of his funds came from individual corporations, while 11% was from PACS, 28% from candidate self-financing, 2% from an other source. Georgia's District 11 Jody Hice raised $952,162 in the previous primary election; 83% of his funds came from individual corporations, while 15% was from PACS, 1% from candidate self-financing, 0% from an other source. This website relates to our class by displaying the amount of money candidates raise from Super PACs and how much of that money is a percentage of the candidates funds. This website is reliable and displays money raised by Congressional Representatives.

the equal protection clause is apart of the 14th amendment. the equal protection clause makes sure everyone is equally protected. the Brown vs. Board of Education case is a prime example.The equal protection clause gives more power to the feds. There has also been equal protection cases as well as affirmative cases regarding to scholarships and college admission.

a due process is a persons right to fair gov. proceedures. the federal gov cannot take away a persons life, liberty, or property with out due process of law. that is part of the 5th amendment called the due process clause. so that no one is left unprotected, the 14th amendment covers this on a state level.

The New York Times reported Monday that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton conducted official business exclusively using a personal email account.
4 Clark Rayne's insight:

Former Sec. of State, Hillary Clinton, had an email account to do business while being at the State. this raised questions about her correspondence, and possibility that she broke federal law through messages to be retained for the record. According to the article, it is not for sure how many emails were in the personal account.  Both articles display the same information over the topic, however they both interpret the information wayyy differently.

This commercial is aSuper PACs ad for a candidate. The people are saying that money is speech. This commercial is saying that super pacs are funding for the wrong candidate. They say that superpacs are convincing them to buy their vote. Americans are saying that SuperPACs aren't showing Parry's platform.

The diss ads in campaigns arent taken seriously because people think they are just lying to get ahead. This ad was reliable because it was actually used in the campaign.

Caucuses are literally political finals. The candidates compete to see who will represent their party. Every state has its own rules. In primaries you vote the same way you would in generals. There are three types on primaries:

~closed- you have to be a party member

~open- anyone can vote on a universal ballot

~ blanket- top two advance regardless of party

 This video relates to our class be showing the types of primaries and what goes on during a caucuses. This video is reliable because it describes the differences between Primaries and Caucuses correctly
