A chef is demanding job, for the restaurant to succeed and still be in business in the future, the chef and his team must prepare and make dishes of meals and they need to do it right and to be delicious. Unlike any job, being a chef, it is part of the job to cook meals to customers, is like an artwork that you have to create a delightful taste into the customers’ mouth. To become a chef, you must have a good sense of taste and flavor, and a good hand and eye coordination. You also need to work well as a team, and you love to cook.

 

For the education of being a chef, colleges and universities have chef courses that are shorter or longer than each other. Conestoga College has a two years course, while the Liaison College in Hamilton, Ontario has a course that you can finish in eight months. Not all people become a chef in one day; they have to go through few levels to become a chef: the Entry Level, Cook Basic Level I, than eventually you’ll enter the chef level. In the Entry Level, you either be a dishwasher, or a counter. The Entry Level is a part time job with no benefits, minimum wages and flexible hours. In Cook Basic Level I, you could be a cook, line cook, or a preparation cook. In this level you can have good wages, and benefits.

 

The salary of the chef is depended on how successful the restaurant is. Chefs at retirement house can earn $21 per hour. The average salary of a chef is in the range from about $35,000 to $40,000. An experienced and working full time chefs’ salary can go up as $75,000 while chefs that owned their own restaurant, can earn more as over $100,000.

 

The best part of being a chef is you can create your dish and try it out. Being a chef allows you to be creative once in a while. If you’re a creative person how loves to cook, then you should try becoming a chef.

Police officers are the people are the peacekeepers in your community. They protect, and serve the people who are in need of their help. Being a police officer is a great honor, and it is also a great responsibility. But being a police officer is not for everyone. They have to deal with really long hours and have policies on what situations are necessary to use their weapons. The police’s regular shifts are a thirty-five day rotations including: four afternoon shifts, two days off, three day shifts, two days off, four day shifts, one day off, and seven night shifts. Being a police officer is a hard work, but somebody got to do it.

 

There are many types of police work you could do; you could be a tactical, traffic, or training officer. You could be also a patrol, explosive disposal, and sniper, repel control and SWAT unit, community officer and police canine handler. As a police officer, you can also work with homicide, media relations and command post. With Police work there are many, yet sometimes dangerous opportunities to choose from.

 

The education and training will really test your limits. The applicant testing service of the training cost three hundred dollars. This testing will test your intellect by answering ninety questions in ninety minutes. They’ll test your fitness by a beep test, trying to reach level 6.5. Then later test your interpersonal skills, hearing and vision. In this test you’ll need a certificate to hand in with the application. Then it’s off the application part. In the spelling test you’ll need to spell forty random words from the 566 word bank. About 75% of the applicants pass in thirty minutes. Then you will have interviews with the chief and deputy chief of the police force, and a psychological assessment with a psychiatrist for some questions. After the reference interview, you are hired and you’ll spend thirteen weeks at the Ontario Police College in Klyner, Ontario at the cost of $44,281 by them or you. If you did the test hard push your limits the police force will welcome you.

 

The salary for a police officer is different and depending on what rank you’re in or what type police work you’re doing. Basic constable officers can earn $57,000 and $8,000/yr. the maximum salary the 1st class officers can earn $84,000/yr. In training officers can earn about $44,281/yr. The salary will worth it if you have to do some dangerous work.

 

Police Officer protect and restore harmony from the chaos of the certain situation. So if you’re fit and want to dedicate yourself to society, then police work is a career for you.

Financial planners are experts to make your life profitable. To be a financial planner you need to be excellent at math, have excellent social skills and use your time wisely because financial planners spend forty to sixty hours for one client with excellent work efforts.

 

In the education of being a financial planner Conestoga College has a three year program. The program includes, Canadian Securities Course (CSC), Financial Planning Level I and II (FPI & FPII), Financial Planning Capstone Course, and Life License Qualification Program (LLQP). The Program also includes a four hour exams.

 

The average salaries of a financial planner are different every year. In 2010, the average salary for Certified Financial Planners (CFPs) is $113,000 a year. In 2011, their average salary is $43,000 a year. The max annually salaries can range from $300,000 - $500,000. You can earn the designation “CFP” one you work for companies like Sunlife for two years.

 

Financial planners rarely made any mistakes in math, so if you’re an universal math wise, you should try to be a financial planner.

The life as a nurse is a tough life and it’s not for the faint hearted. To be a nurse you must be able to handle twelve hour shifts, calm down people if they’re scared or in pain, accept responsibility, and supervise others. You also must concern about people’s well-being, and have excellent communication skills. And you have to all of that without fainting at the sight of blood. The life of a nurse may be hard, but is worth it and I don’t mean just doing it for the kindness of your heart.

 

There are five types of nurses: Personal Support Workers (PSW), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Registered Nurse (RN), RN (Extended Classes) and Ph.D. PSWs handle elder’s and handicapped people’s personal daily care. RPNs work alongside with RNs but they can only work with stable patients. RNs can work with unstable patients. RNs with Extended Classes (EC) get to work on more serious conditions. For PhDs, they mostly do research. Each different type of nurses has different salary profits. PSWs can earn up to $18/hr. RPNs can earn up to $23/hr. RNs can earn from $29.50-$44/hr. RNs with extended classes can earn from $42-$53/hr. and the advanced practicing RNs can earn $42+/hr. The pays depends on the employer and unionized workplace. Working overtime can pay up to $60 an hour. First year nurses can make $75,000. Being a nurse allows you to make a profitable salary.

 

The education of being a nurse is hard. More than 18% of college/university students failed. You need to take a lot of courses and have to write an eight hour exam. In some colleges/universities, the nursing programs can take 5-8 years to complete, it mostly depend on which college/ university you’re going and what level of nursing you want to be in. The education to be a nurse may be hard and necessary if you’re responsible for the other peoples, but if you work hard and pay attention in classes you will become a great nurse.
