You'd think the term "Child Protection" would suggest that children are prevented from coming to harm, but all too often, the system doesn't kick in until after a child has suffered - Protecting Queensland's children - the Carmody Commission...
Rachel Doherty's insight:

This is a really interesting podcast about the Commission of Inquiry into child protection that is currently underway in Queensland.  This is likely to have a big impact on how children who experience harm or abuse are cared for, depending on how the Queensland Government goes about implementing the recommendations.  The report is due to be handed down on 30 April 2013.
